About Us

Automated Arc Systems was originally formed in 1981 to sell Arc Machines’ orbital welding systems. The original territory was the state of Pennsylvania. Due to our success over the next few years we were awarded additional territory. Our territory now includes the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Due to the success of selling the AMI equipment, AAS was approached by Pandjiris, Inc. in 1990 and an agreement was signed to represent this company in all of the states of the AMI territory plus the states of Delaware, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

The Georg Fischer Company, now Orbitalum, was originally represented in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In 1997 we were asked by GF to represent them in the balance of states in the AMI territory.

Automated Arc Systems has extensive experience with robotic systems beginning in the late 1970's. We worked with Unimation, Inc., the last American company to build robots, until they terminated production of robots in 1979. We worked with General Electric in their Florida division studying their laser tracking systems. We also worked on some early system integration efforts on GM Fanuc robots. Our latest robotic work has been with the Lincoln Electric Company's Automation Division using Lincoln welding equipment and Fanuc Robots. Now that Pandjiris has signed an agreement with Lincoln Electric to work together on automation projects, Automated Arc Systems is successfully integrating these two product lines. With Lincoln Electric's extensive process knowledge and Pandjiris' expertise in hard automation, AAS now has the ability to seamlessly integrate these fine automation products and rapidly deliver them to our customers.

We have discovered that these different lines play very well off each other. We have a number of clients who we have introduced and sold different pieces of equipment from each line.
